Descriptive Paragraph(s): (Pearl was born into a line of witches and practitioners with the unenviable psychic talent of Claircognizance. As such she often more times than not has a slightly far away look as information literally bombards her on a constant basis. Because of her training she is able to keep from drowning in the ephemeral while maintaining a smile that says everything will work out. Her hair as dark as a moonless night on the bayou is naturally curly and often kept loosely swept back or plaited neatly to her head. Her eyes equally dark often seeming to absorb the light around her are strangely warm and all too knowing. In short, she is an interesting person to meet but knowing her is an exercise in the inscrutable.)

One of her former on again off again partners said, ‘She comes into your life like a tropical storm sucking up all the air then leaves before you have a chance to adjust. And just when you think she’s gone on to other things she’s back with Beignets and sandwiches.’ That is a fairly accurate summation of Ricky. She is an all and nothing sort of person often times she is lost in her own head ciphering through information that is coming at her ten terabytes a second and others she is back in the real world holding on with both hands as she is dancing away.)

Character Concept/History: ( Daughter of the ‘Ndị na-ekiri’ a New Orleans based cabal of powerful witch families descended from the lines of Doctor Jean, Tituba and Marie Laveau, as well as one arm of the cabal claiming ties to Jacques Saint-Germain. In short the ‘Ndị na-ekiri’ are a cabal that espouses the long view and longer road. They are known as those who watch or simply watchers in the common parlance. Seldom embroiling themselves in any struggle or strife unless directly acted on. And then in only so much a way as to exact balance. What they are watching for or waiting for no one outside the inner councils of Rectors is aware of.
As such Pearls upbringing was one of secrecy and enlightenment. She knew the way of the world, the rue world from a very early age. She understood the nature of those that existed in the night as well as the shadow beyond all things. Her family was one of the first to be made aware of the Witches of the mountain and as such they retreated form the world. Deaths were faked, stores closed or sold, and they left every place where a major assault would take place. They warned a few close friends and associates but all together disappeared from public life. Many going completely off-grid. Pearl went in another direction somewhat, she went to a heart of population hiding in plain sight though he would much rather fight directly she does so for the shadows engineering accidents or outings so the Witches can not gain more of a foothold. She knows they can not be allowed to win but she has little resources to beset them directly. Every vision of her future where she does is filled with heartache as the best option.
